Google API data-use draft

Google API Data Use

Draft Google API data-use disclosure. Gmail and Drive workflows are deferred for v1, so this page is preparation only and does not represent Google review, clearance, or public OAuth launch.

DRAFT — under review, not yet in effect

This page is draft public copy for Todd/legal review only. It is not legal advice, not an approved policy, not a provider submission, and not authorization to publish or deploy.

Draft purpose if the connector is reopened

If Todd reopens Google workflows, ReloadTMS would request Google access only for prominent user-facing trucking document workflows that the user starts or authorizes.

  • Drive access would support finding or importing user-selected PDF business records for rate-confirmation and document intake workflows.
  • Gmail access would support user-authorized PDF attachment intake for trucking records if the final product keeps that scope.
  • Google data would not be used for ads, lending, credit decisions, unrelated analytics, or sale to third parties.
  • Humans would not read Google message or file content except with user permission for a specific support/security/legal reason that the final policy permits.

Draft limited-use commitments

  • Request only the minimum scopes needed for the shipped feature and explain the requested data in context.
  • Use Google data only to provide or improve visible user-facing features that the user authorizes.
  • Store tokens with application encryption and support disconnect or revocation before any public release.
  • Do not use Google Workspace data to train, create, or improve generalized AI models.

Open items before this can take effect

  • Final scope choice, scope minimization review, and whether Drive can use a narrower file-scoped workflow.
  • Final privacy, terms, homepage, authorized-domain, support-contact, and reviewer-demo pages.
  • Disconnect, deletion, export, retention, and already-imported-record behavior.
  • Google Console configuration, reviewer test path, demo evidence, security assessment decision, and Todd approval to submit.
